COSMA, The Control Panel and Switchgear Manufacturers’ Association was founded in 1988 by a group of four manufacturers of CONTROL PANELS. Satish Kazi, Asim Majumdar, N.M.Shah and Kamlakar Phadke were the four founders of COSMA.
Starting off as an informal group that met sometimes over tea, they institutionalized their friends ship and over the years now COSMA has over 300 members doing business all across the country.
All manufacturers of switchgear and control panels are eligible to members of COSMA. Additionally COSMA admits life members from amongst leaders from the trading and manufacturing fraternity who are engaged in producing or selling commodities that go into making of control panels as raw materials and consumables.
The most important reason for the existence of COSMA is to create a healthy fraternity of manufacturers who share knowledge about technical and management aspects of the business to improve their own products and services for the customer.
